This page is really, IMO, the heart of Discord from HotD: not a monster, not a royal advisor, not even a draconequus, but a boy that misses his mother. He lost his best friend, and he can't forget that he did; he calls chaos his friend because it will never leave him, not like he's afraid his other friends will. He's not calling for chaos or shouting at Twilight; he's crying for his mother, the first friend he made and the first one he lost.
